This is a very exciting opportunity to join an award-winning food business dominating global markets.
Here at Cornish Sea Salt, we are currently looking to recruit a proactive Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a dual sited role to work at both our Production and Packing sites (Gweek, Helston and Pol Gwara, Porthkerris).
This is a part time role with a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week (2 days). On occasion and subject to business requirements, additional hours up to 24 per week may be offered - these additional hours are not contractual and cannot be guaranteed.
Hourly rate: £15.00 - £17.00 per hour (dependent on experience).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide health and safety advice to personnel across both sites.
- Conduct site inspections and risk assessments.
- Review current health and safety policies and procedures.
- Provide health and safety training to employees.
- Investigate accidents and incidents and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure that all relevant health and safety information is communicated to workers and contractors.
- Stay up to date with changes in legislation and best practice.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum IOSH Working Safely.
- Proven experience working in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- The ability to produce detailed and well written reports.
- Full UK driving Licence and access to own transport for work purposes.
