Cornwall’s unique Grade A waters

Cornish Sea Salt is sourced from Grade A Atlantic waters, eight metres from the shoreline on the Lizard Peninsula and hand harvested in our eco-friendly salt house.

Speaking with our Production Manager at our Pol Gwarra Salt House, Tim Van Horn, he said; “We have seen all sorts of wildlife on this coastline. It’s alive with a plethora of mammals and animals.

We have peregrines and buzzards down at the site regularly. We have also seen plenty of Seals, Dolphins and even various spotting’s of basking sharks which is always exciting. Tuna have also been spotted in the bay.”

Beneath Cornwall’s beauty is a totally unique geographical environment which defines the taste and high mineral content of Cornish Sea Salt.

In our commitment to being eco-conscious and protecting the area of outstanding natural beauty, we return our water back into the sea at the correct saline level.

We’re also in good company, as just around the corner from our eco-friendly salt house is Porthkerris Diving School which has beautifully clear waters and one of the best shore dives in the UK.
